All our classes have an emphasis on developing a good strong technique and personal discipline

as well as encouraging a high standard of performance.

Young dancers

The Starlite class is specially crafted for children aged 3-5 years and is a fantastic introduction to dance. Students will learn the foundations of ballet and tap through stories, exercises and games. Don't forget to bring your drink and favourite teddy bear!

Students progress naturally to the Shooting Stars group who focus on more technical exercises, and it is the perfect stepping-stone to the higher-level classes. Approximate age group for this class is 5-7 years.

Please note that 1 parent/guardian may attend the trial class but after this, parents/guardians must wait for their child in the lobby area.

Singing & Dance
Junior Dancers

Our Minis class is for students aged approximately 6-9yrs (or younger if naturally talented). Jazz is introduced at this level with a stronger emphasis on technique and performance skills. Musical Theatre routines will also be learnt for performances.

The J-Troupe class (for approximate ages 8-12yrs) concentrates on ballet, tap and jazz technique with an introduction to lyrical and contemporary dance. Choreography will cover extra dance styles for performance such as musical theatre, commercial and national dance.

Senior Dancers

Our T-Stars class is a transitional class to bridge the gap into A-Troupe. Choreography is taught at a faster pace and a high level of stamina, technique and performance is expected. Students will move into this class based on technique but must be of Secondary school age.

In A-Troupe an array of dance styles will be covered from lyrical to jazz, tap to contemporary, ballet to commercial as well as Broadway-style musical theatre routines. This is our pre-professional class where students are treated as independent dancers and encouraged to develop their skills in choreography and characterisation.

ACRO FUNDAMENTALS

Our beginners acro class was recently added to the timetable as many students were expressing a great interest in this style. By creating a brand new class, we could ensure that this more athletic skill was learnt safely and under careful supervision.

The class is small (by arrangement only) and caters to all levels, with students progressing at their own pace.

Acro Fundamentals covers body conditioning, flexibility exercises, strength training, drills and tricks.

ELITE COACHING
Private, personalised virtual coaching is now available at ASPA. All classes will be taught by Miss Alex.

Your private lesson will be completely personalised to your needs. No generic videos or lesson plans.

Train in your own home, day or night, as often as you like.

All you need is a safe space, screen and internet connection.

All classes presented using Zoom technology.

ASPA Elite Virtual Coaching is not designed to replace your normal in-person classes but to enhance your personal technique.

Students also get the opportunity to take part in various filming projects either in the form of self-taping or within our studio setting.
